Interesting article about SS

When my stepfather passed away, my mother gave me a stack of woodworking books and magazines he'd kept.
Most are Workbench magazines, full of ads for $120 solid cherry grandfather clocks, Troy-Bilt tillers, Badge-A-Minit badge makers, TotalShop ShopSmith clones, and, of course, ShopSmiths themselves.
One had an interesting behind-she-scenes article about the SS company and I thought people here might like to read it.

The magazines are an interesting read...like a time machine back to the early 80s. Not sure what I'll do with them when I've looked through them all, though...
