Trouble

I have a 520,I think, Model # 555869 12-8-03 I have a new blade on it and cannot rip a 2x4 with out it stalling...I have check the Poly V belt and it looks good. I can not push it in at all....very slight....The Drive belt has some slack in it..Could this be the problem????Im trying to learn...

What 'kind' of new blade? I am guessing it is not a rip blade.
Stalling, or slipping? =motor stops or blade stops.
Long way(3 1/2") or short way(1 1/2")?
Finally is it straight?(may be binding against the rip fence).
Does the floating sheave move freely?(motor belt tension)

JPG Thanks I WENT back out and tried another 2x4 with out the fence and had no problem...Thanks again for the help.

I sure hope you aren't
ripping without the fence. If I were you I would check my blade to table (miter slot) alignment and fence to miter slot alignment.

Just to reiterate what algale said, if you are ripping wood without the rip fence you will hurt yourself and possibly cut off body parts. I'm not kidding, that is about the most dangerous thing you can do with a table saw.

The fact that you ripped ANOTHER 2x4 casts some suspicion on the first 2x4 but my money is on "table to blade alignment".
Let me say that in a manner that you might understand better.

More specifically: Table(miter bar slots to blade face) to blade.
And Rip fence to table.
The table(adjustable) is aligned to the blade(fixed).
Then
The rip fence is aligned to the table(or blade if you prefer).
Result
Rip fence parallel to blade.
Reserve a day so as to avoid 'rushing' it.
