DC-3300 and two port lower guard on 500

Hello,
Just curious if anybody uses a Mark V 500 with the latest lower guard system (two 2-1/4" ports) with the DC-3300 dust collector? I'm currently using mine with a shop vac and dust deputy. It's not the greatest and my thinking is the DC-3300 will utilize both ports and since it's a dust collector and not a shop vac, its moving air and chips as opposed to sucking. For this lower guard to work with a shop vac may be impossible because of the gaps and lack of the tie bar shield sealing to the guard. I am aware that the 510/520 saw guard work better, but I'm asking about a 500
. But any who, does anybody have any experience or thoughts on the matter?
