I've been trying to learn how to embed a pic within the text of a post and after a long time I will attempt....drum roll....

I'm not sure if the pics are there as I only see the words attach on either side of two numbers. I'm attempting to post a couple of pic of the hub protector that is mandated for Shopsmiths sold in Canada. I happened to buy a used Mark V where someone had installed his own protector by drilling a couple of holes in the belt cover and then epoxying a couple of nuts on the inside of the cover for the hub protector screws to attach. Shopsmith actually sells a special belt cover which has the two nuts welded to the cover. The Canadian cover is almost $9 more than the one sold for domestic use here in the States. The plastic hub protector itself is $9 and change. You get a plastic hub protector along with 2 Allen screws and two washers if I remember correctly.
Yeah, it worked! I should of had the belt cover on for the pics, but you get the idea of how the hub protector works in keeping anything from touching the spinning hubs which can spin much faster on a PowerPro running a DVR motor.
I just learned I am using the wrong terminology. The hub protector is actually the Shaft Spindle Guard p/n 521889. Here is a link to the manual:
http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/prod ... tGuard.pdf The price is only $3.99 according to the Shopsmith web site.
