4-in-1 Box-Building Sled

Post by Lodgepole »

Has anyone else taken a look at the latest Shopnotes Issue, #125? Looks like quite an interesting article on building sled for use with a tablesaw.

Now that I am retired (Yah!) I am considering building one this winter. Does anyone see any problems or improvements that can be made to this design?

I went ahead and re-inscribed myself for the shopnotes emails ....
I used to receive this some years ago.
I'll see if this time it will work ...
I did the inscription thing a few times a year in the last 5 or 6 years and never received an answer.
I also filled in a request for a printed catalog from the Hand-On webpage
I have received an emal confirmation that I was put on the mailing list for a Shopsmith catalog
I will let you know if I receive one.

Catalog???? Don't hold your breath!
The last catalog Shopsmith printed was the 2008 edition.

However, thinking positively, if you received a confirmation I'll be happy to be wrong and look forward to seeing them again in the future.:)

Hi Camerio! Maybe there is some confusion here!!! "Shopnotes" is a hard copy magazine with 6 issues per year - August Home, publishing. Not to be confused with "Shopsmith", maker of MarkVIIs, Vs, etc. and supporter of this Forum.

In the Shopnotes page
Tip #125 is :
Machinist's Set-Up Blocks

it does not seem to be what the first post of this thread is about :

4-in-1 Box-Building Sled

so I searched the whole list and have not fount it either.
Maybe Lodgepole who initiated the thread will be able to give us more information about it.

Let us try again. Shopnotes "Volume 21 Issue #125 on page 12 is the 4 in 1 Box Building Sled. I am looking at the printed publication which recently arrived at my house via USPS not online. I hope this helps. Yes this is highly interesting and will likely be added to my jig building list. No I do not copy and or post copyrighted publications. Jim
