Scroll saw question

I was wondering if a stand mounted scroll saw can be used on a Shopsmith as well, or is it limited to the stand. Thanks!

Is the stand a power stand? If so, the answer is yes.jayp413 wrote:I was wondering if a stand mounted scroll saw can be used on a Shopsmith as well, or is it limited to the stand. Thanks!
I totally agree that it not practical to attempt to change the drive on the scroll saw. I priced the change many years ago and the parts were more expensive than buying a used Shopsmith mounted scroll saw, stand and motor.SDSSmith wrote:Is the stand a power stand? If so, the answer is yes.
If the stand is part of the freestanding scroll saw, then from a practical standpoint, the answer is no. The freestanding saw does not have an input shaft to drive with the Mark V. I am sure you could get the parts to modify the freestanding saw to use on the Mark V but I do not think that is practical.
