was anything but Presidential. I was extremely disappointed. We got a slightly different view of Romney but all we got from Obama was a bunch of over used talking points.

Obama was certainly not the "great orator" that he is rumored to be.

I was hoping for a knock down drag out debate that would begin to reveal what these two guys are really all about but that did not happen.

If the remaining debates are more replays of "sound bites" already heard, we'll be going to the polls in November unprepared. We'll be voting with nothing to go on but a hope and a prayer.

This country needs what was promised four years ago - CHANGE.

The election is a lot like rearranging your sock drawer. It gives you a chance to discard those that do not work for.

I spent the evening putting my new Appalachia Crosscut Sled
together. I suspect the fact checkers are going to be busy today trying to sort out the truths from the untruths.

I was quite pleased with the debate. It was one of the few opportunities voters get to see the two without filtering by the news media. It clearly showed a weak President who was unable to defend his four years in office. And, it seems he isn't quite the orator we always hear about without his teleprompter to guide his thoughts. But, I'll agree somewhat that Romney was a bit too polite when pointing out Obama's failed policies and wreckless spending.

Next Thursday we get to see the two Vice Presidential candidates go at it which will give us an opportunity to see Paul Ryan without the press running interference for the incumbent.

I am looking forward to Joe's presentation. That could be real comical without prepared comments.

Thought it was a great debate. Really did get into it once Romney got going. It was fun to see.

Didn't watch it. I don't care who is running against Obama, he or she would have my vote. I believe what my dad would tell me " If you don't like the one that is in now. You sure as hell want like the next one" It just about turns out that way every time. That is just my opinion.

I can't say I was all that impressed. The President's answers and comments really were not all that. A very different attitude than four years ago. Like pennview said, without his teleprompter and all his advisers Obama is lost. And, Romney just sounded like he wanted to spout off promis after promis. Typical hollow promisses we hear time and time again by every career politician wanting to get elected.

I believe that it's not what a person says. It's what they do or don't do that you should pay attention to. In which case it seems that our president is doing his best to totally destroy constitutional America and replace it with a socialistic, Venezuelan style government (dictator?). I guess that is why Chavez said; "If I were American, I would vote for Obama". But then, that's just my opinion.
