How does a 10ER work out for a dedicated Drill Press? Is this common?

Outstanding drill press and lathe. I had a 10ER set up and used as a drill press for years. Easy to change belt position when in the drilll press mode.

I have a 10ER as a dedicated drill press and it works great. The larger table, adjustable fence, replaceable inserts, etc make it superior to a typical drill press. It does run a little fast for drilling metal, though. But I haven't yet refurbished my speed changer to use on it.

The reason I ask is that
-it looks like it would not take up tons of space,
-I see old ugly ones for sale cheap,
-Changing the Mark V into Drill Press Mode then back is a bit of a hassle
-Hassle factor increases when the band saw is set up, and
-they are a beautiful icon of the art deco era and look great refurbished.

Slow the speeds with bigger headstock pulleys and notched V-belts the 10ER is excellent.

10ER bigger pulleys

Where would one get larger pulleys for the 10ER to slow it down in drill press mode if desired?
