OK, guys. This is the time of year when we get to shine! OK, so it's actually a little late if you haven't already started, but our shops should be humming right now. And I want to see what you're working on. It doesn't have to be finished. I enjoy seeing works in progress.

Yeah, I'm feeling the time crunch! Our family is gathering on 12/15 so I've already lost 9 days of prep time. Still, just being in the shop is a great stress relief (and we need it after last night, huh?)

So..... what's on the table??

I built one of these for my grandson a year or so ago and since then everyone in my family with a youngster just has to have one.

Wow - great stuff, well done! I am humbled with my creations in comparison to those.

I am close to wrapping up a medicine cabinet I'm making for my wife (well, really it's for the bathroom but she wants a new one ) I got a bit overboard on it and decided to make it with no fasteners, so the box is all mortise and tenon, shelves are set in hidden dados, and the door frame is lap-jointed. I just need to get it painted and mount hinges and latch and figure out how I want to mount the mirror in the door frame rabbet...it's always the details that drag out for me. I'll try to get some photos once I get it assembled and closer to complete.

Well I'll throw in, this is a start, I have alot of things to make before x-mas. It looks like stools are popular this year! I started one of these and thought I'd be smart and make two. Turned out I'm going to be 3 short on top of that, so I bought a piece of hardboard and made a pattern. I didn't think these would take that long but there are alot of steps and SS set-ups. Its been handy having 3 running at once.
I have to cut my dowel pins flush and glue, assemble and finish.

Those stools are really neat. I may have to steal that idea!!

Not much, just salt and pepper shakers. Was in the Woodcraft store in the Chicago area after doing some holiday shopping at the Aurora outlet mall and seeing the Charlie Brown exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry (after viewing the HO exhibit of course:) )
