Please listen to my motor

In my thread on switch wiring, it was deteremined that the switch was the issue, and then I posted a video of my shopsmith motor powering on.

I have since taken the motor shaft assembly out of the motor housing and taken off fan sheave and pulled the bearing out of the bore houseing that the fan sheave sits in. I gave it all a good cleaning because there was some crud in there, and reassembled. I have since ran the motor several times attached to the headstock, and it sounds much better. Here is a video of the motor running clamped down on my workbench.

I also took a couple of pictures to show the fan sheave as there was a question about appropriate gap between the fan sheave and housing.

Also with the rivet that has gone missing, the thin metal plate is slightly loose.

It sounds much much better!

The gap is correct.

However the fan housing end is not seated onto the motor shell.

The angle of the fan sheave can be seen in the first pix, and the gap causing that slight angle can be seen in the last pix.

Loosen the 4 screws and use that mallet to get it seated properly, then retighten.

Awesome. I am going to go take another look at the motor to reseat the fan housing end. Now it is onto finding a replacement toggle switch and getting the bandsaw cleaned up. I have all the other headstock pieces cleaned up and will relube when I start re-assembling the headstock.
