Miter Gauge Stop Screws

A couple of the stop screws on my miter gauge were rusted in place, soaked them with WD40 for a while and thought they might come loose. No dice. Instead, I managed to break off the slotted end of one of the screws.

So, assuming I can eventually muscle those screws out with a pair of vice-grips, where do I find replacements?

Go here: http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/part ... rgauge.htm

I believe part # 272 is what you are needing to replace.

"Next" time try kerosene or pb blaster or yer penetrating oil of choice(not wd40 which ain't).;)

Cut off a long screw, add a slot(or better yet, retain the head if clearance or if not, file down to round).
