Now, that's a Black Friday deal that's calling my name!

But it isn't a "sale" on the price of the upgrade. It's a sale on the shipping charges.
-----------------------------orig---------new--------sale
DIY upgrade--------------$1429------$1509------$1509
HS Upgrade Svc----------$1529------$1609------$1609
Refurb HS Upgde---------$1729------$1809------$1809
PP HS - NEW--------------$1899------$1979------$1979
STILL a good deal in my opinion.

I would guess he means the original prices when they came out about 2 years ago vs the current price for the items. There was a price increase in April IIRC.

I believe the original prices listed above are the same as when the PP was introduced. Additionally, Shopsmith offered a $200 incentive if you traded your old headstock in for a new or refurbished PowerPro.

Sorry for the confusion. "Original" price refers to the price of the upgrades when introduced. "New" refers to the "non-sale" price after the recent price increase. I just happens to be the same as the price for each on the current e-mail special.

Thanks - I didn't realize they had raised the price since it was introduced. Funny they wouldn't just advertise this as a "Free Shipping" promo rather then the appearance of a sale price.
