That certainly sounds shady, huh?

There has been more and more of this lately. I is extremely strange to see items sit for 10-15 years in boxes that cost the owners $1,000's of dollars. I have a set of '85 bandsaw, jointer, planer, belt sander and a "brand new" 85 Shopsmith in my garage as we speak. I cannot figure it out, but loved the discounted prices! This ad seems shady, especially with his responses.

If so---DO NOT CLICK ON THAT LINK!!
For some reason I have had key words highlighted as a clickable links. If I hoover the arrow over these words, a pop up comes up with the key word in the pop up.

At first I thought it was just on the Shopsmith site, but it seems this is showing up on other sites as well on my end.

I had the same problem, it was about to drive me crazy. Are you using FireFox? That sure is a lot of new stuff to have laying around. Makes you wonder.

I don't know what year SS ended production of the Sawsmith 2000, but this guy has one new in box.
I called to get details and a man with a Middle East accent answered. All he could tell me was his father died and that is why the items are for sale:confused:

He did say he was willing to sell individual items, but would not discuss price over the phone:confused:

This is about 2hrs from me , but I hesitate to take the ride just for the sake of curiosity and maybe a good deal on a power staion

You just have to wonder.

Dave
I would keep calling. The phone number is listed and has an address tied to it in Mohrsville, north of Reading. I would not make the trip without some verbal agreement. If you look at the selection of tools, they pretty much have all the bases covered with almost every spt getting its own Power Station. I do not see a planer though. Maybe Ed Long won a contest that had a shop full of Shopsmith tools as the prize.

Remember ...

Craigslist is not well regulated & there has been a significant amount of fraud associated with some of the listings. We all love a deal, (especially on Shopsmith stuff) but this one smells funny to me.

The post has been removed now so did anyone really see this or was it a scam. Way too many of them out there now. Have not see too many really good deals around here lately. Did miss one last week with a guy had a box of SS parts and also some Hands On mags for 50, went to call him and they were gone. Now that same box is back up for $150, and that is not a good deal. Guess this guy only wanted the Mags since they are not in the box now.:D
