Newbie question

That might work. The problem is that unlike most threaded adjustments, here you have to wind up in one position, 6 o'clock straddling the pistol grip, so you only get multiples of 1 turn. Maybe one or two of those little shim washers?

At any rate, I can't use it, since the stud will not fit the hole in the T-slot miter bar that comes with the table upgrade.
