Why do people sell relative new headstock on ebay?

I'm just wondering why people are selling their 1992 headstock.
is he/she upgrading to PowerPro? or is he/she getting a cheap garage sale deal then dissembling the SS and putting the parts on ebay?

Most Used Shopsmiths are worth far more as parts than they are as complete machines. So probably option 2 above.
It's interesting that we that know the history of SS parts have the idea that a 20 year old part is "relatively new".

Well, everything, including incest is relative. I am relatively new to this forum. Although I think I predate most of you (except JPG who may be a few days odder). Oops! Misspelled that but decided it might have been a Freudian slip so left it as typed.
