Hello everyone! I just picked up my first ShopSmith. I saw it on craigslist for $120 so I had to check it out. After an hour and a half ride and five minutes of looking at it, I paid the man and headed home with a grin on my face. Here are a few pics I just took.

Welcome to the forum. Did the cops chase you home for stealing it? Nice find.

Good score! I like how you acknowledge it's your first SS, as soon you will be yourself with 3-4 of them

SCORE! it looks like its in really nice shape. Make sure to check out the sticky posts in the maintenance section. You're sure to gain tons of knowledge there.
Also, if you are interested in rebuilding, it certainly seems like you have a solid foundation!
Welcome to the forums...its nice to have you here
And yes... ya stole it!

I agree with the other post. Take you time and check it out. There are plenty of vidoes and articles to help you along the way. I have mine a year or so and I am definitely still learning.

Thanks for all the comments

I've been reading the stickies and checking out different restoration posts. I plan on tearing it down and doing a complete restore at some point. For now I'm going to just get a few parts and use it. I don't have a drill press or lathe so I'll get a chuck and whatever I need for the lathe. I'm missing two of the screws that hold the legs on. I think one of the bolts for the arm lock handles is missing too. I don't see it in my box of parts.
