I plan on staying up late on the 31st so I can post the last posting for the year of 2012. I'm sure I can come up with something witty to say that sums up the entire year in one sentence.

Of course those of us on the West Coast will be able to beat you, as it will already be 2013 in TX by the time 2012 ends out here...and then we'll be bested by folks from Hawaii. This of course assumes I'd make it until midnight...if the past several years are any indicator, I'm asleep by 10pm

I think all posts on the ShopSmith Woodworking forum are posted with a Central time zone time stamp regardless of the time zone of the poster. My question is, how does this fit in the logic statement ?

10:00 sounds great to me, but I am usually lucky to make it much after 9:00. The older I get the earlier I get. Of course that is going to bed and getting up as well. Sleep use to be great but now I sometime wonder just what that word means.

I'm just thankful on the rare occasion that I actually get to sleep through the night!

Getting old stinks...

What I used to do all night long, now takes me all night long to do...

I don't think it works exactly like that, stumpbuster. If I post right now, I think you will see the post with your time right now (Not 2:38PM). When I post, it will be 2:38PM here.

My screen time and the time on this post is 2:38PM. What time do you see for when I posted?

I see 5:38 PM for yours and 6:20 for mine, but it's 5:20 here.

I believe that to be your local time at the time I posted. But I gotta check time zones, seems one hour off.

Is that the result of day light savings. What have you put in your personal profile for time zone.

My time zone is Eastern and DST corrections always on. I just changed the DST to auto detect and the time on my posts changes to 5:20 and this one is now 5:29.
