I went to Wallyworld yesterday to buy some magazine storage racks. Trying to get a leg up on organization for the new year. The price was $6 to $11 each. I am cheap. Anyone have any alteratives for keeping way too many magazines? I am thinking milk crates.

We recycle empty cereal boxes or laundry soap boxes. My wife cuts them into attractive shapes and covers them with paper but I just leave them uncovered and add a paper label to the front to identify what issues they contain.

Nobody is as cheap...er um... frugal as I am and I was in the same position as you.

I went to the post office and got a bunch of priority mail boxes. (For free)

I made up the boxes and glued them shut. Then I cut a corner of each box off to make the magazine holders. If you orient the boxes correctly, you end up with a white area between two red stripes that you can use for labelling.

I'm having a hard time posting a picture... hope you get the idea.

If it counts, I did feel guilty when I was cutting the boxes and the mailman pulled up.

You don't even have to go the P.O. Order them online, and your friendly neighborhood mailperson will even deliver them.

Now I see why the Post Office is going broke. Watch for another bailout.

I think I'll carry on recycling my boxes instead of throwing them away and then having the Post Office go broke turning trees into more boxes and paying to deliver them to me. I know it ain't much, but it makes me feel better about myself.

Ikea if you have one nearby. No high quality, but they do the job for cheap.
