Link Belt

I need to pick up a new belt for a different tool, but i was wondering if anyone had used the link belts. From what I can tell from looking at them, people say they work smoother and run better than a regular belt. Has anybody on here found that to be true?

And if my belt on teh shopsmith needs to get replaced in the future (as I am sure it will), would this be an alternative or would it be better to stick with the belt for the SS?

Thanks

Nathan

I have the green one from Harbor Freight I use on my 1939 Dunlap lathe. No issues with it so far.

I had enough left over to use on my SS when the time comes for belt replacement.

If ya look at the bottom of this thread, you'll see links to other discussions about the link belt.
