Who has the coldest shop today, lets get some data and find out.

My shop is at 35.5 degrees at 6:00 this January 22, 2013.

Is yours colder? Give us a post and be the "Emperor of the Coldest Shop" for the day.

We have the same 9 degrees.... outside. My garage is attached i e a raised ranch with living area above. It will get below freezing if the temperature stays too cold for too long.

We are not to far apart, Chicago and Aurora, and I live on the far east side of Aurora so 30 miles or so away depending on where you live.

For the moment you seem to hold the record, but it is early in the evening so we will have to see if you are indeed the "Emperor".

It was as low as 4 degrees outside, but about 60 inside thanks to the garage furnace. I guess I loose huh?

I consider it the most important tool in the shop right now ;)

I don't have a chance of winning this so I won't even bother to tell what the temperature is.

Temperatures plummeted in my woodshop this morning...   All the way down to 68°... :D ;)
Fortunately I was soon able to bring it quickly back up to a too warm 72°.
It was single digits outside and has stayed cold all day. It is supposed to stay at lows in the single digits for a couple of more days. It is supposed to get to highs in the 50°s in less than a week.

Well, it was -10 this morning and -14 (yes that was a negative), but my garage is attached to the side of the house and doesn't seem to get less than the 20's thankfully. We did get above 0 today so we've only been below 0 for about 36 hours.

International Falls in Northerm Minnesota is supposed to hit 36 below on Thursday morning. I been through those types of temps and your skin hurts when the cold hits it.

My garage tested at 23.0 degrees.

It's a couple of degrees below zero here in Northern New England but just north of here on Mount Washington, it is minus 27 with 50+ mph winds. Can't calculate that wind chill.

My shop is in the cellar shared with the furnace so is a nice 55 degrees. Warm and comfy for me to continue building new kitchen cabinets on my 32 year old Shopsmith (all original equipment).

I do know I shouldn't admit or brag. Shop was 65 degrees all night and day. Heater works well. Wait a minute temp at 7 AM outside was 35 and 64 at noon. Jim
