Made this bookshelf/dollhouse for my daughter a while ago. Saw it in a Pottery Barn catalog and figured I could make it myself for way cheaper. Shelves are all in by dado. Toughest part of the whole thing was getting the correct angle on all the vertical pieces to attach the roof.

That is very nice you did a great job on it and I bet those angles were very hard to do.
Job well done!!

I was caught in the same trap. My daugther-in-law saw a dollhouse bookcase at Target and ask if I could make one. Of course I can came my reply much too quickly. My grandaughter's birthday was a week a way and she wanted it made in time.

You will notice that I put windows in mine. The windows took as much time as the rest and yes, I did finish it in time.

Nice doll house/bookcase. She sure looks like grandpa made her happy. Gives me an idea for my only granddaughter who is almost two, so I have some time to make her one. Attaching a couple of pictures of a play house I made for my grandchildren.

I like the treehouse. It reminds me of one my Dad built me.

Grandchildern are wonderful! I'll never be out of project ideas with them around. Your ICON reminds me that I made a baby rattle just like that one 2 weeks ago. My newest grandbaby wasn't impressed, but my daugter was.
