I just called Lowe's financing. They just concluded an 18-month no interest special on Jan 21st. The rep told me that this is something to ask the store manager for anything looking for 18-month no interest financing as stores are able to do offer specials on their own.
The other special I learned about is a 5.99% up to 84 month financing deal. Someone charging, for example, $4,000 would have $47.62 payments. Oh, belay that. I forgot to figure in the financing. Hold on.
Ok, at 5.99% interest for 84 months (that is a long time! 7 years), the payments would starting today, for example, $58.42 which would come out to $4907.28 total.
For a 5 year term, the payments would total $4638.60 or $77.31 per month.
But you want a Mark 7! How does one rationalize? Well if one has a military ID, that would bring it down 10% or 400. But they may nail you for sales tax. What else? I am not sure. But I'd keep my eyes open for the 18 month, no-interest specials. They may have one pop up being it's around President's Day. Also, remember to check with the store manager.
My wife charged the window treatments at our local HD. Holy cow! Do you have any idea how much those things cost to have someone come out, measure & install? Eye, ye, ye… as Ricky would say. Well, I talked to one of the customer service desk people. They called the credit center and told them to give me 24-no interest on that charge. So it pays to ask.
