For some reason, I had a link on my toolbar to the forum which contains Podcasts. Perhaps they might be useful to someone.

Thanks! Looks like another great source of information. I subscribe to Woodsmith and ShopNotes but I did not know about the podcasts. Thanks for sharing the link.

Let me add my thanks as well.

Just visited the site and found they let you download the video's, so I have one in process now.

My net connection is such that watching videos online can be frustrating, pauses, sometimes long pauses and sometimes I end up just giving up. By downloading it will give me continuous play and I can watch it several times if I need to without reusing my bandwidth.

I will be looking at #26 Turing pens on the lathe, should give me a good feeling for the level of information presented. If I like it this should provide me with hours of viewing.

It's ironic. I just received a statement to Woodsmith, one of the woodworking magazines I enjoy & was going to ask the opinion of others. Guess what? Thanks terryd for answering my question before I even had a chance to ask it.

I stumbled on the podcasts awhile ago & tagged it to my browser toolbar. I remember we used to be able to watch the SawDust sessions live or at any time a while back. But that went away with You Tube having some & also having links to tips on the main Shopsmith web page.

Nick was nice enough to show the secret to the swirling hammer which he would do at the beginning of a Saw Dust Session. I swore an woodworker's oath I would never reveal it. I was just wondering how many of you can swirl a hammer in one hand without losing control?

Thank you & thanks to whoever posted the first podcast link. I simply copied it about a year ago & pasted it on my favorites toolbar. I can't take credit for something someone else posted. I wonder if there are anymore?

YouTube is also a great source for almost anything. But beware as any wing nut can post on You Tube if they have a webcam.

Yeah. It does take a long while. I have had all of them burned to a DVD for quite a while now. Can't say how many times I have had occasion to look up something on them. Good luck. I just wish they still made these podcasts. Oh well. Such is progress.
