I never follow such things... We just signed up for Direct TV service and the young man kept wanting to push it based on sports programming. He just stood there with his mouth open for a minute after I told him that if they would let me I would pay extra to have them remove all sports feeds from my set...
He just couldn't grasp the whole concept that someone would not want all of the sports channels...

That was the first time I watched the whole game only because we had some friends over and they wanted to watch it. I'm like you Farmer, they could take all sports off and I would not miss it.

The proverbial Las Vegas estimators estimate that around 300,000 people come to Town to watch the game. Add that to the fact that the Las Vegas residents tend to be party people & really like there adult beverages while watching the game.

This leads to the problem.

It seems most people use the half time break to relieve themselves and all the toilets flushing at the same time overwhelms the sewer system.
Just thought I would throw this nugget of trivia out there.

Not being a sports nut puts me in the minority in my family. My wife really gets POed when I start grousing about having to watch some game or another. But, when everybody is huddled around the TV, watching a game and I head for the shop she accuses me of being anti-social and rude. Geeze, what’s a guy to do?

Which is why we have his and her TVs. Problem solved with wireless headsets and both Tivo and Cable DVR recorders. Also his and hers checking accounts. I say nothing about what she buys and she says nothing about my all my toys

Yeah, Fred. But even if I go to the other room to watch (a woodworking show) I'm still rude. But, when everybody leaves me to myself and my shows, they are not rude?? Just not fair.

Frankly someone would be very hard pressed to prove to me that the games aren't fixed.

The announcers kept saying it is a one score (one touchdown or one field goal) game when it fact after the second Baltimore touchdown it was 2 score(required 2 touchdowns or a touchdown and a field goal) game until the final 4 minutes or so. To me that was saying the fix was in and they were annoucing what was the point spread.

Someone tell me, How does a pro team line up for the first play in illegal formation and not know it?

Funny you should mention that, Ed. There's a big scandal in Europe over fixing soccer matches. Something like 380 suspicious matches including World Cup playoffs, as well as payoffs to players and referees.
