Looks like a slow newsday in the Community Forum. No postings in a while.
Someone has to do something about this.

Is it remotely possible that Mother Nature becomes violent when mothers of her realm are not treated as she would have them be?

Slow news day.
Well here in central Minnesota have been digging out
from twelve inches of the white stuff. Finally dug a path to
\the shop this afternoon...... Not to bad a storm here but,
the wind has to always come up and blow that beatiful white
stuff around.......Nothing compared to the east coast folks...........

I think I see your problem. You need more TREES. They stop all that white stuff from blowing around so much.
It's pretty flat here in Central Ohio, too, but my place is down low, next to what passes for a ravine around these part, in a patch of woods. Go just a hundred yards up the road outta the 'hood, and that wintry wind get one whale of a lot worse.
Unfortunately, the emerald ash borers are killing all my ash trees. I need to turn those into lumber, or at least firewood. But I still have plenty of other trees.

Reminds me of my grandparents place in central MN. The trees are at the windbreaks. I guessing the lack of trees is probably corn or soybeans when the white stuff isn't growing or blowing.

Yes, corn and soybeans in all directions. Ethanol plant one mile to left of
the picture.
We had a big hail and windstorm in 2001. Lost nine trees on the north side
Have some new ones planted but, small yet. do not own more land to plant
a big windbreak.
Tomorrow turn on the shop heat early, couple cups of coffee. Then go to shop and work on a couple of projects. Maybe just soak up the heat and
enjoy the solace?? If I had the room that Farmer has I would have a recliner
but, no such luck.
Will attach a couple of pictures of my other hobby.. They have started racing
in the south this week. A couple of months before they are up this way.
1250 pound car ,800 plus horsepower......need i say more if you have never seen winged sprint cars run it would be equal to about 25 power pros
at full song.....................

I am a spectator only at this racing but, still is great............

Maybe it is quiet because I haven't been here a lot over the last 10 days or so.

I finally got most of the basics of the woodshop "kind of" set-up. Lots and lots to do yet but it is getting workable. I enjoy seeing 5 Shopsmiths lined up end to end down the east wall where it was stacks of "stuff" until this week.
Now I am hitting the set-up of the boot shop in one corner pretty hard so I can start working in it by the first of March. It will be harder than the woodshop since stuff is so heavy. I have 3 stitching machines that weigh roughly 600 to 700 pounds each and a finishing machine that weighs about 1300 pounds. A lot more work to lower those into a basement shop.

My son will bring home "something" to move it in. Maybe a larger excavator or a boom truck. It depends on what is sitting around the shop when the timing (and weather) is right.
We spent this afternoon cutting and burning a herd of brush while it was a nice day.
