$8k??? This guy is either nuts or clearly is banking on someone out in CraigsList-landia being nuts. I'll give him $800 for the whole package but the seller has to drive it out to CA for me...COD of course

People put that up because they think it stops the spam emails. CL didn't use to filter very well, and you got a lot of Nigerian princes interested in "buying your item immediately and sending their agent to inspect."

I'm not sure why they think that warning would work, or if they reported someone what good that would do. Used to see it more often when CL email was wide open, but today generally only see it on overpriced ads from beligerent hillbillies.

Someone seemed to have a buying complex - I'd hate to see the wife's shoe closet!

He went to a Lowe's demo and ordered ALL of it without telling the shoe buyer. it arrived and he took it out of the boxes, she came home saw all of it in the garage and said either it goes or he does.

I wonder - if after she kicks him out she'll come down on the price??:D

Or, she bought it for him to keep him closer to home but he went and ran off with the maid anyway so she's dumping him and all the goodies.

It was in a storage unit that someone inherited or bought at an auction, and they looked up worst case retail and are hoping to get rich without understanding what they are selling. Always pay attention to the background in photos, knowledge = power = leverage.
