We are having trouble with our planer, model V03537AB80, a Pro Planer. It won't turn off. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen and what we can do about it?

Don't have your answer, but the on/off switch is built into the variable speed controller. It isn't a cheap part to replace so hopefully someone will be along shortly that can offer a suggestion. Sounds like it is stuck in the open position. Does the switch still click into the on and off position or does it feel different?

If it can't be fixed, my best suggestions would be a remote control switched outlet such as below or a foot switch if it can handle the amps needed.
