I recently upgarded my 56' greenie motor and want to convert the old motor to a grinder. The problem is that I need help with the wiring. Which wire is then hot/ground after disconnecting the capacitor and the converter. There ai a green, a red and a yellowis with red markings coming out from the motor.
GE motor model 5XC39NG-202.

Why did you disconnect the capacitor? And I do not recognize the term "converter"! I looked through my collection of Shopsmith info, but all I found was how to replace an off/on switch.......sorry.
