It would be interesting to see how many forum members have made the big move to a Power Pro.

Poll options:

1. Yes, I have the Power Pro
2. No, but I plan on purchasing one this year.
3. No, I have no plans on purchasing one.

Will get it this summer
Either
if SS comes to Lowe's in Montana this year

or if they are not, then I'll order it from the Lowe's site.
Just talked with CS (what a great time!!) and Montana is not currently on the list but will wait a bit to see if anything changes.

Well I lied a little I said I have one but in fact I just ordered it today along with the double tilt, riving knife, paper for the conical sander and a 1/2 router chuck so I can run a horizontal panel raising bit in my new undermount powerpro router. I tend to send SS a bunch of money every 7-10 years and just dream (and save for cash purchases) in the time between.

It would have been just as interesting to see which forum members have or intend to get the PowerPro Upgrade. The poll results, however, do not show that tidbit of info.

If the positive respondents do not comment, we will not know.

If the price comes down to where I think it should be I will jump on it, until then no way.

Yes, I have the Power Pro (upgrade) and all the rest of the upgrades to make it a full Mark 7.

It has to come down in price where SWMBO approves it (and I can justify it to myself). I just can't justify the price right now. I'm also concerned with the longevity.

I've had electronic is way less harsh environments only last a couple of years. It will be interesting to see how well the DVR motor (In either a Nova Lathe or a SS Power Pro) performs 5, 10 years out. Or how many glitches there may be.

I'm currently content with my rebuilt '55.

I voted No. It's just not going to happen on my Federal Employee retirement check. :D
And, like another poster, I have questions about the electronics compared to a very proven mechanical system. :)
