When I posted, I thought it was simply an opportunity to pick up some magazines or books at what I thought to be very reasonable rates.

I did not add my name to the "Ignore List" even though I typically do that for all spammers.

A link to an email sign up?

I dunno, Dusty. You could be missing a good business opportunity here. Roughly 16K members officially in this forum, at last notice. Assuming a 60% click-through rate for our most highly esteemed leaders, and a $0.03 payout per click-through, that would net about $300 for just one posting! Those PowerPro's are already starting to look more affordable.

At least that's how I think that spammers think.

So this should probably be a whole different thread, but I just now realized what was bugging me about Reible's thread on how to save money for a PP. He implied that you had to SAVE money to get one. But I well remember, as a young kid, my Dad telling me that it was a lot more fun to make a buck than it was to save a buck. Or, to coin/mangle a phrase, "A penny earned is a penny saved."

This forum is chock full of very talented people. I'd love to hear their ideas on how to MAKE a couple extra bucks to pay for some new toys. I've got to agree with my dear departed Dad .. that sounds like a lot more fun than tightening up the old belt!

Sounds like your dad and mine were cut from the same cloth. My dad may have taken it a step or two further, though. He was a farmer and lived on credit. His advice was to borrow the $ and work like He!! to pay it off. He was lucky. It worked for him. Not advise I'd give my kids, today.

Collect cans on the side of the road, sell Apples or pencils on street corners. If you are in CA, clean windshields of cars at stoplights.

But seriously, reselling items through Ebay and Amazon also work. The problem is I can't find enough things to do it consistently. I was able to sell some dado blades that I went overboard on buying and make a few bucks too. The problem is Amazon doesn't let you sell in all categories and to make it worthwhile you usually need to find things 75%-50% off the regular price. My main issue is when I find a good deal, by the time i realize it is a good deal and go to get more everything is sold out.

They don't even go to the effort of attempting to clean the windshield with dirty water and a dirty rag any more, They just stand in the center island with a sign asking for money.
