OK, I called customer service. There was no email loaded for my record. There was a different record (bad postal address) with my email in it. She tried to load my email address into the correct record and it disappeared. She tried again and it took.
She also sent me a test email that I received quickly, with no problems. No spam filter on the one she sent.
So, we'll see if I start receiving the promotional emails again.
