I have been looking for prices but most messages have links to Craigslists that already expired. My question is what is the "going" price for a 510?

How much anybody has sen or paid lately?

Thanks

A LOT depends upon location.

If it has a bandsaw $400 would be a fair price in this area of Texas.

Wow. I should move to Texas!

I have seen one 510 in my area for $650, so I should try to bring it down to $500. I think and upgrade 500 to 510 is more than $1000 so I would get a whole unit for half.

Thanks.

Location is definitely key, as is condition of the machine and SPT's and accesorries included. I'd consider paying $300-$500 for a 510 in good condition, depending on what came with it. The only thing that would make me see it worth more would be if it came with more valuable SPTs, such as a Pro Planer, or if it included a bunch of the more typical SPTs (DC3300, bandsaw, jointer, strip sander, biscuit joiner etc.). Of course most sellers are hoping for way more than this...it's just a matter of supply and demand. I already have 3 shopsmiths and would consider picking up a 510 or 520 to improve my table saw situation, but only if the price was right...otherwise I may as well just buy a stand-alone table saw if I felt the need for a bigger saw.

Thanks for your insights. I guess I should make a much lower offer since it does not come with any SPT. I do have a few SS but none with the better table so I though of getting one for that reason only. I can barely fit the garage so I will have to cut somewhere.

I'll have to sleep over this...and make an offer.

Thanks

I just picked up a 510 (runs but needs love and paint) for $100. That included a jointer that I gave to Heathicus via Fred Sheldon. I had to drive 3 hours away since locally they go for 5-10 times that.

I would drive 3 hours for a $100 510.

I would expect any SS selling for $100 to need some TLC.
