I am expanding this request to include Tulare, Visalia, and Bakersfield as I have a planned trip to Tulare soon.

Any owners in California in or around the 93555 area code (I'm hoping Ridgecrest) that have a DC 3300 they are willing to show off and discuss? I am considering upgrading from a shop vac but also want to make sure I do due diligence and consider a larger more capable DC system if warranted. Basically according to the technical specs the DC 3300 appears to meet the low end of DC capability but the devil may be in the details; or actual results. And making a larger system that is hampered due to the size of the dust collection ports on the MK5 and other SS equipment mihgt be wasted.

I live in Palmdale and have two, there was one on sale in Quartz Hill a couple of weeks back. If you like and would travel to Palmdale you can look at mine. I have one at a charity where I work and one at home. Let me know.

The wife and I have a planned trip to Tulare in the near future; soooooo before I make the dedicated and somewhat lengthy trip to see you (a 200+ miles round trip?), I wonder if we have any DC-3300 owners in the Tulare/Visalia/Bakersfield area that I could stop by and visit for a few minutes. Our trip takes us up the 99 and via Bakersfield and a side trip could be a bit easier on the fuel bill and lengthy time/drive to see the unit to talk about the pros and cons for a few minutes. It could also provide some additional perspectives and ideas.

Larry - I sent you a private email with a few additional questions and asked how I could make contact when I drive to Palmdale and I have not heard back yet; consequently I am not sure if the private email is good. The attempt using the private email was to not fill the forum with details on a meeting.

I got the DC3300 when my very old ShopMate(?) gave up the ghost. I am very happy with the DC3300 and would not go back to a shopvac for SS dust collection.

However, there are times when I use a tool far away from the DC and would dearly love to have a portable shopvac to hook up for dust collection. My Fein MultiMaster, PorterCable belt sander and Festool saw all have excellent dust collection but only if there is a vacuum hooked up.

If you have room I suggest you keep the old shopvac.

If your wonder if it works. YES it does. He just may not have signed in lately or knot checked his email attached to his log-in.

Doesn't your DC3300 have two wheels on the back of it?
