Bandsaw Question

Hi,
My question is about the nylon bolt #517908 used in the Guide Column Bracket #5025499 of the bandsaw. Is this bolt used to remove side play in the #5025549 Blade Guide Column Post? The older saws do not have this bolt and have a different number for the Guide Column Bracket.
