My Wife said "Buy it." So I did....

So, I called to confirm my pickup of the SS 20" scroll saw that I saw a few weeks ago when I purchased my 62 Goldie as I did not carry enough cash on me at the time, nor did I really have room for it in my small trailer with the Mark V loaded. Actually the guy asked me if I was interested in a scroll saw for $200 bucks, and well it was never my intention to buy another scroll saw, but the price I thought was right. What I was really interested in was his DC 3300, but he told me it was not for sale.
Fast forward to this last week when I was working on the potting shed I am building for my wife when she came to visit me in the shop. Of course there was a ton of sawdust on the floor and the counters, and just everywhere. You know how it is, the place was quite the mess. So out of the blue she says "you need something to clean up all this sawdust".
Not sure I heard what I thought I heard, I said what every man would "Eurh!" (You know like Tim the tool man). So she repeated "you need something to clean all this up". By this time I was over my shock, I swung for the fence. "What I need" I said "was a dust collection system." So she said "buy one then", well when she heard the price for a new DC 3300, the tune became somewhat different and the whole event was forgotten.
Flash forward back to my earlier statement, I called yesterday to confirm pickup on my scroll saw, and out of the blue the guy asked me if I was still interested in DC 3300 I could have it for $300. Granted the thing looked good, but I could not see dropping that kind of cash on a DC 3300 at this particular moment. When I got off the phone my wife (who could hear a fart in a tornado) asked me how much? "Uh, $300.00" I said, "well that's half price isn't it" she said. "Yea, but it is still $300.00" I replied. She just looked at me and said "it's 50% off, buy it silly." I said "yes mam."
So to make my long story short I bought a used DC 3300, probably paid way to much for it, but momma said buy it, and like any good husband, I did.
