It appears as though it might be a Shopsmith Scroll Saw. The compressed air pipe looks just like the one on my scroll saw.

I thought that the SS scroll saw table was flat. Does Knot have a ramp leading up to the table near the blade.

That darker area in the center is the shadow of the upper assembly. The back edges are tapered(narrower at the center).
. . . And the blade retaining pins. . . .

The downward ramp starts at about his fingertips and where his thumb is.

I have to agree with JPG that it's an optical illusion caused by a shadow. In fact, I don't "see" a ramp or unlevel table at all in either pic. I see a flat table with a shadow across it.
Why would the table be anything but flat?
