Just curious, I received an email from SS for their new Incra I-Box for the SS. Does anyone have this yet?
I have the Incra 5000 for the SS and love it, saw this and it looks very nice, especially seeing as how they also have it on sale.

I've had an I-box for quite some time. Once you get the hang of it, you'll make perfect box/finger joints. Mine is for a standard table saw. You cannot use a wobble type dado blade with it. The I-box requires a stacked dado blade.

That is how close I am to having one.

The more I'm contemplating getting this, the more I think getting one of the PC dovetail setups may also be the way to go...Included templates also provide the box joint. Granted it's a whole different setup whereas you're using a router vice TS but...
? for wasatch w/Ibox... trying not to Hijack the thread.

Thanks for Your Response,,,,, ? Is the recommendation against using a wobble type dado blade for all box joint jigs or just the I box? What was your experience w/dado blades for box joints?

I can't honestly answer you about other jigs other than the I-box. Once I saw it, how its made and how accurate, I didn't care to look at others. I have only used a stacked dado blade with my I-box and I can make perfect box joints with no tearout. At some point you may have to replace the 1/4" hardboard backer that controls tearout but that's just a matter of cutting out a new one.
You will never need another box joint jig in your lifetime once you purchase an i-box.
