I cannot tell a lie, I did this today with my compact router and a little help from some other tools.

This will be a post with pictures and very little words.

Looks like I need to add some more words.

The item is a portable clamping table.

The series of "+" slots gives a lot of versatility, finding and selecting where you want the clamps positioned to allow pressure where you want it. You might want to think of it as a vertical way of clamping, might take a little getting use to concept wise for some people.

Material is 3/4" plywood, 18" x 24".

To accommodate the bottom end of the clamps it is raised up on runners. A future upgrade will allow this clamping platform to fit on to one of my 2' x 4' portable tops for my workmate.
