I spent about 3 hours a night after work on this one. My next two went even faster since I didn't have to wait on bearings. Evapo-Rust and quick drying spray can paint is the secret.camerio wrote:WOW very nice looking Fred and in just two weeks ... do you mean 40 hours a week ?

I think the 10ER makes a really great drill press. I use one as a dedicated drill press and have another (along with a Mark 5 "shorty") for horizontal use.
But I do think $250 is a little steep. I think $100 to $150 would be a more fair price.

I have the one pictured set up as a drill press/drum sander. The second one is set up with the Jig Saw attachment, which I have converted to the saber saw mode. The third one is in storage to be used as a parts donor.camerio wrote:I can guess that they make excellent drill press.

Nice job. a wish I had the room I would do more restoration.
I saw one of the guys on youtube building a cross cut sled, he was using a 10 ER for the drill press part of the demo.
