Wow, what a morning...I have barely begun to inventory the amazing haul I brought home from a yard sale at an old woodworkers house near me. The biggest gem of the day - a Festool DF500Q Domino Joiner, complete and seemingly barely used in the box for $20 (!!!!!!!!)...I just looked it up and it retails for $1250 and sells on Amazon for $900...holy cow! I also got a box full of older Paslode pneumatic staplers of all sizes, along with a Bostich hardwood floor nailer, an air hammer, and some other pnuematic odds and ends all for $20. Also a couple of orbital sanders (Porter Cable and a DeWalt, both for $20), an old B&D router that looks built to last forever for $5, and a huge pile of other woodworking stuff. Also a like new Honda Pressure Washer for $80 and a really cool old machinists chest filled with well sorted nuts, bolts, washers etc. - really nice, painted with pin striping - very cool, for $40 with everything in it. Holy cow, my adrenaline is pumping. The Festool Joiner totally blew me away - I knew it was worth way more than that and told them so but they said it's "priced to move", we need to clear this place out. Wow!

I few more items from this haul:

• Freud 12" 72-tooth thin kerf miter saw blade, new/unopened in package (w/$70 price tag) - $1

• Diablo 10" 50-tooth combo blade, used but sharp and good condition - $1

• Pile of ~10-12 Pony bar and pipe clamps of varying lengths - all for $10

• Pony 48" framing clamp, new in package - $1

I came to the realization that with the acquisition of the Festool domino joiner comes the need to purchase Festool dominos, which like all things Festool, aren't cheap. Also, it is missing 4 of the 5 cutters - not sure what happened to them but they aren't in the case and they aren't cheap either - probably $150 for the set. It did include the narrow stock trim stop, which looks pretty handy for furniture making and is an extra $65 on it's own. Does anyone have any experience using one of these? I like the concept - basically create floating mortise/tenon joints instead of using biscuits - seems like it would create a stronger joint.

Here's a couple photos of the metal cabinet (I'm not sure why they are posting sideways...they aren't that way on my computer and I can't seem to fix the way they are displaying):




The cabinet is loaded to the gills with well organized bolts, nuts, washers, screws etc. of all sizes - I primarily bought it for the cabinet but the stuff in it is icing on the cake.

When copied, they are oriented correctly, but again post rotated.
