back in the hot shop

no AC in my shop, so with Tucson temps. the way they are, I come and go in the shop often.
I need to steal Dusty's evap. cooler.
Made my first cane and through all the mistakes, rather creative turn, it didn't come out too bad.
tried a different type of pen also.

those are screwed and epoxy in. if we are talking about the cane.
the pen has a piece of acrylic in the center

Two very nice projects. Really like the cane and the pen is really pretty, too.
Now, head to Culver's for some well deserved ice cream treats.

Not only a very handsome cane, it looks like it might be a good putter as well.
BTW, I used my thickness sander in earnest today, very successfully. (Sanding is a lot easier when you remember to put sandpaper on the roller!)

made his SS sander and I think he should show some pix and a little talk about it in another thread.
I know he knows how to use a camera and I agree, sanding works better with sandpaper on the roller. Ha
