Yeah, for me it says $15.55 so it must calculate based on location. However, at the end of the description the seller clearly states:
NO SHIPPING- BUYER MUST PICK UP

4 hours left, still $326. A 1,000 mile round trip is only $150 in fuel cost. Worth the drive if I lived on the east coast and needed one

I just hope it does not reappear as 'parts'.

Normally I find that you have to figure that you get at least twice what you paid for the Shopsmith before disassembling and selling the individual parts. At this price, I do not see anyone making any profit by disassembling this Shopsmith and selling the parts. For each of the Shopsmiths I brought, I was able to sell one or two parts/pieces immediately to recover my purchase price and a little extra buying money. Thats why I have a ton of the remaining parts, all needing cleaning, reconditioning and painting stored in my shed. I am finding that I can get about twice the price for individual headstock parts than I can for a fully assembled headstock so I only recently begin to sell the individual parts. I have been buying a few cheap "C" headstocks for this reason. I still plan some day to offer a "C" headstock predrilled for the PowerPro upgrade along with the extra headstock parts needed to have a complete operating PowerPro headstock when done.

True, but that is only about 10-20% of the cost of driving.
I am regularly tempted to buy one of the machines of CL in my area and part it out.

lol, wow fred i may have to hire you to drive for that road trip! my old truck would want 250$ in fuel for a drive like that! On the advice of a knowledgable forum member I am considering the need to take a drive like that though. I really want at least one model 520 for my lutherie shop but they dont seem to fall into the 'good deal' category in houston. If only Ohio were closer!
I am going to look into the costs to catch the greyhound out somewhere and then rent a uhaul truck for the return trip but i think it would still be cheaper to drive the ol warhorse.
