Last week I received a delivery from UPS while I was at work. Clearly addressed to me but the box contained a Lathe Center and a PO for someone in another state.
The next morning I called SS cust. service and straightened it out. The guy told me to keep the part and they would get another one to the person who bought it.
Just now I received another package priority mail containing a polyurethane band saw tire, this time for someone in Oregon. Because it was sent priority mail I called the customer to let him know if he was expecting it soon he was in for a disappointment.
When I talked to cust service the first time I joked that I wished they had sent a more expensive item (after I was told to keep it) and the guy laughed and replied if it was worth more they come and get it.
Oh well, I'll call them again on Monday and let them know.

I forgot to take the packing slip with me top work but I called SS anyway to let them know about their screwup.
They have no way to know what order I was talking about. I asked the guy how many orange poly band saw tires they shipped to oregon in the last 2 or 3 days and he told me I'd be surprised at how many they shipped. If it was more than one I'd be shocked.
After explaining everything he wanted to know what I expected them to do - so I gave up and said bye bye.
I tried, thankfully I did call the customer and hopefully he'll have more luck.
ETA: I got ahold of the order number and call SS back, they thanked me and told me to enjoy the part.

I think they guy you talked to would also be surprised at how many they
shipped.

Not a good business model, repeatedly shipping material to the wrong address and then not bothering to send UPS/Fed Ex out to retrieve the package.

The S&H for the retrieval would cost more than the value of the parts. So I do understand them not retrieving the parts. The sad part is that they got shipped to the wrong address to begin with.
I just hope that the customers with outstanding PO's have received their parts by now
along with an apology for the delay.

Well, thankfully they shipped me a package the other day as well - the band saw extension table that had been on back order since last November. I had worried they'd forgotten but true to form, they didn't and is was shipped as promised once it was back in stock.

today I received a 5/8 saw arbor (for the 500) and a thin kerf saw blade. Order total $107
For someone in Texas.
You would think by now they would check the mailing label before they ship.
