Zero Degree Stop Bolt

I was checking the zero degree stop on my new Mark 7 and found it to be off by 0.08 degrees. So go through the procedure to adjust it and find I can turn the stop bolt with my just my fingers.
Is this correct, should it be that loose?

I can turn the stop bolts on my machines with just my fingers but it does require some effort. I don't believe you want them so loose that they will change with the natural vibration of the machine but I also believe you do not want to be forced to use a wrench.

Which 'zero degree stop'? Table tilt? Table(drill press)? Miter gauge?
And 0.08 degrees? Enjoy chasing yer tail??;)
I doubt the repeatability is that close.(either the SS or whatever device you are using to 'measure' that)

It is the table tilt stop.
And it was 0.8, not 0.08, my bad.
Regardless, wan't it move with vibration if it is so loose that you can turn it just like a loose bolt.
I was thinking of putting a little blue Locktite on it, what do you think about that idea.

I would be more inclined to use a jam nut.
P.S. They do not use 'nylock' screws any more?

If the bolt moves during normal operation, loctite might do the trick. Mine don't move so I don't know for sure. I would suggest
just a little loctite.
JPG: Are your stop bolts really long enough to use jam nuts?

Careful with the Locktite. One kind is darned near permanent! Requires heat to loosen. Can't remember which color that is but, I'd steer clear of that one.

Yes, the color does matter, I think that is the red one.

Blue is not 'permanent', red requires heat to loosen.
