Upper belt adjustment?

I have a 30-year old Mark V and the spindle is starting to slip when performing tasks such as drilling hard wood. I emailed support and they responded: "You can adjust your upper belt and or you can oil the sheaves and take care of the problem that way."

Could someone please point me in the right direction to find the procedures for these? I've never had the headstock unit apart. Thank you.

Do the maintenance first, then the belt adjustment.
