I can't seem to find it now, but I have seen an old Magna advertisement for a safety grip adapter for the 10ER.

One of the people who supply 10ER hardware sells the conversion bar. Don't recall where I saw it, maybe Skip?

If I get some time later tonight I'll look around for it or if someone has time right now check out the usually people.

I think you nailed it! The e-bay item looks like a 'thick' bar(3/8"?). ;)
