I am currently in Afghanistan and will be returning home sometime in the next 30 days. I call Shopsmith to order the nova g3 chuck since I want to try my hand at turning once I get my Shopsmith and shop set up. i had connection problems while calling to ask a couple questions and place my order, even got disconnected once but Jan and Linda in customer service were patient and helpful even though i did not buy my Shopsmith new i got it from craigslist. i have to say that so far i am very impressed with Shopsmith and i haven't even seen my mark v in person yet just a couple of pics. i look forward to learning this machine and all it can do and building a relationship with this company.

Customer service with Shopsmith is very good and amazingly they will take care of manufacturing defects for the life of the machine even if you are not the original owner. Believe me, I know this for a fact. And both Jan and Linda are very knowledgeable and helpful, as you have learned.

Customer service has even called me back by using their caller Id. I was amazed that after a call dropped, my phone rang and there she was. It was shocking to me that they went that far. No one else even seems to try.
