Hello SS forum, I just bought a SS today. I believe it is a mark v model 500. I have been trying to find out when it as made. The serial number is 271859. It looks like that means it's a 1954. But it's not green, it's smooth grey. Anyway I see there is a beginner thread so I will start there tomorrow when I reassemble it. It wouldn't fit in my jeep without taking the passenger seat and back seat out. So with that, I got to see how it comes apart. We plugged it in and the saw blade barely moved; is that burnt motor? I will open it up tomorrow. I'm just wondering what to expect tomorrow. Thanks.
