This jigsaw by Grizzly sure looks like it was copied from the old Magna 18 inch jigsaw.

The stand with motor is worth that! Wonder what the real item looks like(that appears to be a mfr pix).

I think that's the actual saw for sale - it just looks unused. I agree it's a great deal and interesting that it not only looks like the old SS jigsaw but they even note that it will mount on a SS...so obviously it was designed this way and it's not a coincidence (and I presume it was advertised this way and this is how the seller knows it - looks like there's some literature still attached to it - perhaps it's mentioned in there).

hmmm... grizzly.com makes no mention of this product on their site - no manual, no product page. I may be wrong (I often am) but I think they list even no longer manufactured products at
http://www.grizzly.com/manuals
SAYRE PA is a "bit" of a haul from MUNCY PA where Grizzly is located, but not a ridiculous distance.
A couple theories:
- This guy (or some PO) worked for Grizzly and got to take home a prototype
- Grizzly made some but decided not to market and might have dumped them at the store or at one of their tent sales.
I am half tempted to get it because at the very least the base has some use as a power station. BUT i am trying SO HARD to not buy Chinese any more.
I'm attaching the pics here since CL ads tend to disappear over time...

It looks like a good deal to me, I paid more than that for my jigsaw.

It would be gone if I lived near by.

That setup is pristine.

Greetings all , just got back ( 10/26/13 ) from Sayre,Pa picked up the Grizzly Scroll Saw. Very nice condition not abused, it is a 1988 model with a manual which shows it being attached to a Shop Smith and a power station.
According to the owner he got a couple of years ago from an estate sale along with some SS equipment. It was worth the $65.00 but the drive was a killer from Cleveland, Ohio though I also went to Grizzly in Muncy and picked up a granite plate and some other specials. The difference in table height is 3 1/4" , the power station is lower.
Now will have to update the equipment list, starting to run out of room in the shop (2200 sq ft).

Thanks for posting.
I was going to say it must be from the 1980's. I follow grizzly tools close and never know they offered a Shopsmith jigsaw clone.
