How do I go about separating the wedge shaped disks (plates) on each side of the blade? I cannot move the disks relative to each other using the tool (part 120621). There is some separation between the blade and the disks on each side of the blade but the disks on each side of the blade cannot be rotated relative to each other. The tool has not been used for some years but no rust is apparent and I have squirted much liquid wrench into it.

I believe ther are a couple of screws. They may be hidden under a disc that is sitting in the hub.

Yep!:) Do document alignment of parts before disassembling.;) Otherwise you may end up with a puzzle at reassembly time!

Take many pix from different view points.

Assuming your Magna Dado is a wobble dado blade. Mine doesn't have the Magna name, but looks the same as Magna from photos.

Yes, they will stick if not used for a long time. Over tightening will also cause them to stick.

I used a set of flat blade screwdrivers, small to larger, together with a small ball pein hammer to drive into the plates and then used lubrication like you have.

There were no bolts in mine, but roll pins that acted like sliding stabilizers between layers. Once you get separation - Don't let it fly apart. On a bench, gently work the thing apart.

Good news - mine has never again gotten jammed.
